3-stage switch for 3-phase electric infrared heaters, in surface-mounted enclosure IP65
This step switch connects three circuits one after another in three stages. It comes ready for connection in an insulated surface-mounted enclosure and is suitable for loads that need to be switched in stages. Typical examples are electric heaters with several heating elements, infrared heaters, fans or lighting groups.
Switching sequence
- Position 0: off, all contacts open
- Position 1: one contact closed (1 of 3)
- Position 2: two contacts closed (2 of 3)
- Position 3: all three contacts closed (3 of 3)
When connected to L1, L2 and L3, one, two or three phases can be switched on. This allows, for example, a three-phase unit with three heating elements to run at one third, two thirds or full output.

Tip: For single-phase 230 V infrared heaters with a Schuko plug, we recommend our socket switch IP44. It simply plugs in between the socket and the heater, without any electrical installation.
Note: Connection and installation by a qualified electrician only. Switch and supply cable must be rated for the power and fuse protection of the connected load.
