Evaporative coolers work with water, and wherever water stands, biofilm, limescale deposits, odours and microbial contamination will sooner or later develop. Especially after the cooling season or after longer periods of downtime, thorough cleaning before storage and before recommissioning is essential to maintain hygiene, cooling performance and service life.

PROBIOWAY MULTI is a probiotic cleaning concentrate developed specifically for industrial evaporative coolers. It combines a conventional cleaning action with the long-term effect of live, non-pathogenic microorganisms: these colonise cooler surfaces and evaporative pads on a lasting basis, deprive unwanted germs and odour-causing bacteria of their food source and leave behind a biologically protective barrier that lasts beyond the cleaning itself. The protective effect has been proven to last at least 5 days.

Application

The product is suitable for three situations: for cleaning at the end of the season before storage, for activation before first operation after a longer period of downtime and, if required, as a supplementary interim cleaning during ongoing operation, for example in the event of increased odour formation or after an intensive period of use. The recommended amount of concentrate is added to the filled fresh water tank. The cooler is then flushed for 30 minutes in normal operation, with the pump running and the pads wetted. The tank is then completely drained and rinsed with clean water. The procedure requires no dismantling.

Recommended dosage:

For other units, a guideline value of approx. 0.5–1 ml of concentrate per litre of tank capacity applies. In the case of heavy soiling, the dosage can be doubled.

Composition and safety

The product consists of 99.7% natural raw materials: anionic and non-ionic surfactants (each < 5%), water, alcohol, thickener, pH regulator and the characteristic probiotics. It contains limonene, geraniol and linalool as fragrances. The product does not require classification under the CLP Regulation, contains no SVHC substances, is not classified as dangerous goods for transport and bears the ECOCERT label. The surfactants it contains meet the biodegradability requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004. Developed and manufactured in France.
