Socket switch IP44 for switching infrared heaters
This socket switch lets you turn infrared heaters with a Schuko plug on and off easily, without having to pull the plug each time. It plugs in between the wall socket and the heater and, thanks to its IP44 protection rating, is also suitable for outdoor use, for example on terraces, under canopies or at outdoor workstations.
The illuminated main switch shows at a glance whether the device is switched on. The Schuko socket has a hinged lid against splashing water and increased touch protection.
Your benefits at a glance
- Switch on and off directly at the plug, without unplugging
- Illuminated switch shows the operating status
- IP44 protection for indoor and outdoor use
- Hinged lid and increased touch protection
- Rated up to 16 A / 3,680 W
What output can be switched?
Short-wave heaters: When switched on, short-wave heaters briefly draw a significantly higher current than during operation (inrush current). We therefore recommend using this switch for short-wave heaters up to a maximum of 2,400 watts.
Medium-wave and long-wave heaters: Here the inrush current is hardly significant. The full rated capacity of 16 A or 3,680 watts can be used without concern.
