Enjoyable time outdoors, even when it gets cooler: The TEL Lumia series provides comfortable warmth on private terraces, in gardens, or on balconies, regardless of the season. With a power range of 1.5 to 3 kW, TEL Lumia is suitable for small seating areas as well as larger terraces. TEL Lumia is TEL GmbH's (Temperatur Experten Leichlingen) in-house-developed, weatherproof outdoor series (IP55), available directly from stock in Leichlingen.

Which power rating is right for my terrace?

Important: Infrared heaters warm people and objects directly rather than the air. This means the effect is largely maintained even in light wind, as radiant heat is not carried away like warm air.

TEL Lumia: Product overview for private terraces

The current prices (including VAT) can be found on the respective product page. All models are suitable for both wall mounting and vertical ceiling mounting and are available in RAL9005 jet black and RAL9006 white aluminium (silver). The 1.5 kW and 2.0 kW models operate via a standard 230V socket, while the 3.0 kW model is hardwired and protected by a Type C circuit breaker.

Control: Conveniently via app and remote control

For a private patio, the Bluetooth dimmer up to 3 kW (Quarzheat Eco Control) is recommended. It can be controlled both via the included remote control and conveniently via a free smartphone app, making it easy to adjust the heat from the sofa or directly at the table. The dimmer supports a total output of up to 3 kW, making it suitable for all three TEL Lumia models.

Note for multiple heaters: One remote control operates all Bluetooth dimmers within range simultaneously. If several heaters are to be controlled independently, it is advisable to install the receivers some distance apart, or to use the 2.0 kW radio dimmer for one of the heaters instead. Multiple Bluetooth dimmers can also be controlled individually via the app.

If you prefer simple step control without an app, you can alternatively use the classic TEL radio dimmers: the 2.0 kW radio dimmer with four power levels (33% / 50% / 66% / 100% as well as ON/OFF) for the 1.5 and 2.0 kW models, or the 3.4 kW radio dimmer with infinitely variable control for the 3.0 kW model. Both can be operated via a 4-channel remote control or a 42-channel remote control.

Can I control the heater via smartphone?

Yes, with the Bluetooth dimmer up to 3 kW, the heating power can be adjusted using a free app for iOS or Android, or alternatively with the included remote control.

What happens if I have several patio heaters on the terrace?

A remote control generally controls all Bluetooth dimmers within range together. If the heaters need to be controlled independently, increasing the distance between the receivers, using the app, or switching one of the heaters to a separate wireless dimmer can help.

How quickly does the terrace warm up?

The patio heaters are ready to use within a few seconds, so no preheating is required.

Does the heater also work in wind or rain?

TEL Lumia is designed for outdoor use with an IP55 rating. Since the heat is transferred directly to people and objects rather than through the air, its effectiveness is largely maintained even in light winds.

Do I need an electrician for the installation?

The 1.5 and 2.0 kW models operate via a standard power outlet and can be installed yourself using the included wall bracket. The 3.0 kW model is hardwired; installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
