Ecosun S+ Anticor high-performance infrared heater – The long-wave alternative for compact halls
The Ecosun S+ Anticor is the ideal heating solution for well-insulated, compact industrial spaces with ceiling heights of 3–5 metres. Unlike our short-wave high-performance heaters, this system uses long-wave IR-C radiation and is particularly suitable for enclosed areas where even heat distribution is required.
While our range primarily focuses on short-wave Tansun infrared heaters, the Ecosun S+ Anticor is a useful addition for special applications: smaller halls and workshops with good insulation, corrosive environments or areas where zone heating is required for targeted workspace areas.
When is the Ecosun S+ Anticor the right choice?
This infrared heater is particularly suitable for heating a well-insulated hall or workshop with low air exchange. The long-wave radiation is ideal for rooms with ceilings up to 5 metres high where there is no extreme air movement caused by frequently opened doors or draughts. The special Anticor coating is particularly effective in corrosive environments such as damp rooms, laundries, car washes, coastal regions or agricultural facilities.
Important note: For large, open halls or poorly insulated areas with high ceilings, we recommend our short-wave Tansun infrared heaters, which deliver heat efficiently and directly even with strong air movement and greater installation heights.
Technical features and benefits
The Ecosun S+ Anticor uses a high-temperature heating element that reaches temperatures of up to 380°C. The special Anticor coating consists of aluminium-zinc sheet metal with a double protective layer, specially developed for aggressive environments. This design prevents electrochemical reactions and guarantees maximum service life even under extreme conditions involving moisture, salinity or chemical exposure.
As a dark radiant heater, the unit produces no light emission and causes no glare, which is particularly advantageous in work areas. The units are maintenance-free because they contain no wear parts, and they operate completely silently without creating drafts. Depending on the output level, the radiant heaters can be connected to either 230V or 400V, providing flexible installation options.
Available output levels
| Model | Output | Dimensions (mm) | Weight | Voltage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S+ 09 Anticor | 900 W | 1550 x 150 x 60 | 7.8 kg | 230 V |
| S+ 12 Anticor | 1200 W | 1550 x 150 x 60 | 7.8 kg | 230 V |
| S+ 18 Anticor | 1800 W | 1550 x 250 x 60 | 12.4 kg | 230 / 400 V |
| S+ 24 Anticor | 2400 W | 1550 x 250 x 60 | 12.4 kg | 230 / 400 V |
| S+ 30 Anticor | 3000 W | 1550 x 350 x 60 | 16.7 kg | 230 / 400 V |
| S+ 36 Anticor | 3600 W | 1550 x 350 x 60 | 16.7 kg | 230 / 400 V |
Recommendations for optimal heating performance
For heating an entire hall at a mounting height of 5 metres, you generally require around 100 W/m² of heating output, although this value may vary by approximately 20 W depending on the insulation and room conditions. Control is provided by thermostats that switch the heating panels on and off as required, ensuring efficient energy use.
For zone heating with mounting heights between 3 and 4.5 metres, we recommend using several smaller output units. These can be operated in series with differentiated control, which not only saves energy but also ensures optimal heat distribution at the desired workstations.
The Anticor version in detail
The Anticor coating was specially developed for use in aggressive environments. In areas with high humidity, salty air, or chemical exposure, the double protective layer provides reliable protection against corrosion. This makes the Ecosun S+ Anticor the first choice for applications in the food industry, agriculture, coastal regions, or anywhere standard heaters would quickly reach their limits.
Installation and mounting
The units can be mounted on both the ceiling and the wall. Angle brackets are available as accessories, enabling inclined installation and thus optimally directing the heat radiation toward the desired area. Depending on the model, the connection is made to a 230V circuit; with an output of 1800W or more, a 400V connection is also possible.
Important: In accordance with EU Ecodesign Directive 2015/1188, installation is only permitted with external thermostats that feature weekday scheduling and at least one of the following functions: adaptive heating start control, remote-control option, or open-window detection.
Short-wave or long-wave—which technology is right for your project?
The choice between long-wave and short-wave infrared radiation depends greatly on the spatial conditions and requirements. With its long-wave IR-C radiation, the Ecosun S+ Anticor is ideally suited to ceiling heights of 3 to 5 meters in well-insulated rooms with little air movement. The heat is emitted evenly and continuously, making it ideal for enclosed work areas.
Our Tansun short-wave heaters, on the other hand, provide instant heat through direct radiation and are efficient even with ceiling heights of over 10 meters. They are particularly suitable for open or poorly insulated areas with high air movement, for example due to frequently opened doors or drafts. For most industrial applications, short-wave systems offer the more efficient solution. The Ecosun S+ Anticor is the perfect complement for specific requirements in compact, sheltered spaces.
Your advantages at a glance
- Long-lasting and maintenance-free thanks to the absence of wearing parts
- Energy-efficient through targeted heat delivery only when needed
