Worth knowing

How does the shortwave infrared technology work?

Our heating spotlights work similarly to spotlight or floodlights and are aimed at specific target areas. When switching on, the devices emit short-wave infrared heat rays that heat up people and objects directly and precisely.

These special infrared heat rays penetrate the air silently and do not generate any environmentally contaminating CO2 emissions.

Are these radiation harmful to health?

No, the infrared rays warm up similar to sun rays. They are positive and cannot be compared with UV, microwave or X-rays.

Is a strong stream connection required?

No, a normal 230 V connection is sufficient for the operation of the heating spotlights. Only devices with an output of more than 3 kW, which are intended for industrial applications, require a 400 V force connection. For devices from 2 kW we recommend using sluggish fuses (e.G. C16).

Warmth at the push of a button

The heat can be felt immediately after switching on the devices. This technology enables precise demarcation between warm and cold areas. Even in the wind, the heat radiation is fully preserved.

How safe are infrared heater from TANSUN?

All TANSUN-100 % of the European and even stricter American security standards meet.

Can the devices be used outdoors?

Yes, thanks to the protection class IP 55, an unprotected operation outdoors is possible without any problems even when it rains. Only the Apollo is optimized for the hall area and dispenses with IP protection.

How warm are the devices in the back?

The back of the devices becomes a little more than lukewarm. This means that they can be used safely under awning, pergolas, lamella roofs or in the winter garden. The supplied holder ensure the prescribed minimum distance.

Advantages for jobs in halls and poorly isolated areas

The shortwave infrared technology offers significant advantages in halls and poorly isolated areas. Since it specifically heats up people and objects, the heat generated remains efficient even in large and drafty rooms. This saves energy costs and ensures a pleasant work environment without having to heat the entire air.

Innovation, functionality and quality

Thanks to the continuous further development of our experienced engineers, our range is always up to date with the latest technology. We offer products from professionals for professionals.

Transparent operating costs

The operating costs depend on your individual tariff. Basically, the tariffs differ for commercial customers and private customers per kilowatt hour.

Exemplary consumption costs:

  • Commercial/industry: approx. 15 ct. / kWh
  • Private customers: approx. 25 ct. / kWh

You can remove the exact costs of your last settlement or inquire about your provider. We calculate the operating costs of the radiant heaters per hour on the cent.

Cost overview

For private terraces: approx. 60 ct./std. for 10-12 sqm in the hospitality industry: approx. 5 ct./std. per seat

Infrared technology: differences between IR-A, IR-B and IR-C

Infrared rays are divided into three categories that differ in their wavelength and effect:

  1. IR-A (short-wave infrared rays, 780-1400 Nm): These shine penetrate deeply into the skin and warm up body and objects directly. They are ideal for outdoor areas and ensure noticeable warmth immediately after switching on.
  2. IR-B (medium-wave infrared rays, 1400-3000 Nm): These rays heat both the air and the surface of objects. They create less visible light and are suitable for external use.
  3. IR -C (long -wave infrared rays, 3000 Nm - 1 mm): These rays mainly heat the air and are suitable for small interiors such as bathrooms. They are unsuitable for the outdoor area because the warmth blows quickly in wind.
